日本の義務教育について、英語で説明してみましょう。

Compulsory education in Japan lasts for 9 years, the structure of which is 6 years in an elementary school and 3 years in a junior high school. It is a fundamental right and obligation for all children residing in Japan, regardless of their nationality.

While some students attend public schools, there are also private schools available, normally with more competitive entrance exams and tuition fees.

The academic year starts in April and ends in March, with summer and winter vacations.
